Manifold geometry
Applied digital documentation In the historic environment, published on 19 March 2018 by Historic Scotland, defines manifold geometry as a: ‘3D model or mesh geometry that can be unfolded into a continuous flat piece. Non-manifold geometry includes topology with two or more faces that share a vertex but no edge, adjacent faces with no normals and three or more faces that share a single edge.’
